Welcome
Hello, I'm Bjarke, a 22 year old college student at Aalborg University in northern Jutland, Denmark. I was born and raised in Hjørring, however, a city 40 kilometers north of Aalborg.
As of Spring 2011, I am studying Software Engineering at AAU as a fourth semester student. Under the News Feed you'll find the projects I've done in previous semesters. Hopefully, this will give you a good idea of the range of work I've been exposed to so far.
Under Follow Me, you'll see other outlets I use on the internet. I'd encourage you to visit my blog for a few laughs, but also to get to know me.
I've created this page with the intention of introducing myself to you. A "hub" of my online shenanigans, and, most importantly, a means to let future employers see my wide range of work and familiarize themselves with Bjarke Søndergaard. I hope it's served its purpose.

Arongadongk
| 2011-05-27
Group project with: Alex Bondo Andersen, Kim Ahlstrøm Jakobsen, Magnus Stubman Reichenauer, Mikael Midtgaard, and Rasmus Veiergang Prentow
The Arongadongk language, with its appurtenant compiler, is designed with the purpose to relieve the programmer of trivial tasks between him and his goal. The goal is to find out which local rules to apply to a set of agents in order to make them enact his desired global behavior. This is achieved by constructing a sequential imperative language with a platform independent compiler which implements a GUI and a mechanism for automation of the agents.
Media Agent
| 2010-12-16
Group project with: Anders Eiler, Esben Pilgaard Møller, Martin Sørensen, Rasmus Steiniche, Thomas Kobber Panum
For this project our focus was on creating a media agent. The goal for our application, SlaX, was to successfully implement all the desired functions. Using the MVC model, analysis, and extensive design before implementation we have experienced first hand how these tools help us during the implementation. While completing this project we have gained a lot of experience, especially during the pre-implementation analysis and design decisions, not to mention learning to program with C#.
Reflective-oriented Programming
| 2010-5-25
Group project with: Adi Hadzikadunic, Anders Eiler, Esben Pilgaard Møller, Magnus Stubman Reichenauer, and Mikkel Skov Christensen
During my second semester we wrote a report in which we bring attention to reflection-oriented programming (aka. ROP). The focus in the report is to determine when it is beneficial to use and implement ROP. We furthermore researched two of the biggest IT scandals in Denmark, and we try to find the cause. What we were interested in was: could ROP have been used, and would it have saved the respective companies money when looking long term? During the project we initiated a meeting with KMD, where we learned how they use ROP, but also how they would go about developing their programs - here I mean what sort of model they'd use, e.g. the water fall model. Lastly we wanted to try and use ROP, so we wrote to simple programs in Java. One where we used only standard OOP principles, and the other would implement the ROP ideas. We then analyzed the pro's and con's for using ROP based on our codes.
The Good Worm
| 2009-12-14
Group project with: Adi Hadzikadunic, Anders Eiler, Esben Pilgaard Møller, Magnus Stubman Reichenauer, and Mikkel Skov Christensen
During this project we researched if one could use the ideas (and functionalities) of a malicious computer worm for good tasks. This required knowledge about malicious worms and their functionalities - but also the security holes they exploit. We constructed a prototype of a good worm, which spreads over the network and exploits a certain security hole to then fix it. Furthermore we concluded that it is possible! The prototype should be seen a template for how to further develop the technology and the way of thinking for producing good worms in working order. In the end we considered and dicussed if the development of the prototype and its functionalities could be done better, and if it has performed what it was made to do - to protect the computer from its malicious conspecifics.

Kristyn A. Naylor - Who is she?
Kristyn is my girlfriend. We've been seeing each other since July 7th 2010. Kristyn is a few years younger than me, but probably way more mature. But hey, I'm a geek, I'm allowed to act like a kid. Anyway. Kristyn is a very busy girl. Some of the stuff she makes can be found under Links above. A picture of Kristyn can be seen to the right. The picture is from December 2010.
What is she doing in your "Bonus" section?
Well I'm very proud to have such a wonderful girlfriend, so I figured I'd showboat a bit, and this seemed like the easiest way. Kristyn is a very important part of me, and most of my decisions are influenced by her, as she's the mature part of me cf above.
So, if she's here, what else is going to be here?
I'm hoping to further expand this section with stuff that are not necessarily about me or important in any way. It might just be stuff that I want to showboat or want to raise awareness of, like ReconInsight for instance. ReconInsight is a company run by Chris Reitter and two others. Chris is Kristyn's uncle and a very competent software engineer, you should go check out what he does.
